Crime is a very interesting topic from a philosophical viewpoint. Crime definitely seems counter-productive in an ideal world. If you assume that we are all one, then it is definitely self destructive. Even if you don’t believe in us all being one, it still doesn’t make sense to commit crime; assuming we don’t want crimes to be committed against us, then by extension we must agree that crime is a bad idea.

Of course crime always occurs though, as the world is not perfect, and we as humans are also far from perfect. A little bit like the principles of Ying and Yang, I believe that crime has its causes and in some way crime is a reflection of humanity and really highlights our weaknesses and flaws as a species.
